The Golan, the Galil, the Negev, Eilat, the Dead Sea, and the Judean Mountains are just some
of the major regions in Israel that Machon Maayan experiences on several 3-4 day long tiyul adventures.

"Tiyulim with Machon Maayan allow students to walk in the paths of our forefathers, kings of Israel, and pioneers of today's Israel. With our own attention-grabbing, professional tour guide, Rabbi Goldfischer, Machon Maayan travels all over the country to ponder, explore, and become one with the roots of the Jewish people. In the classroom, we learn about battles fought, places of refuge, and current political hot spots, and then, we go out to the Land and take a first hand account of these scenes. We learn Israel, live Israel, and breathe Israel through our Tiyulim. We hear Hashem's voice commanding Avraham to survey the land first hand, and we, in turn, do the same. The Jewish people have a deep history embedded in the roots of the Land of Israel, and with Machon Maayan, we uncover the past and contemplate the future."

"Hiking during the Tiyulim was one of the most challenging parts for me. I was never a great hiker and I was always at the back of the group, but I was never told to give up. Everyone always cheered me and supported me until I reached the end. That is what is so great about the Machon Maayan family!"

"Machon Maayan is all about experiencing. It is not enough to learn about Yom Yerushalayim… we prepared for the day by hiking the same roads that the soldiers traveled to recapture the Holy city of Jerusalem. Dancing with the whole country, on Yom Yerushalayim, infused me with great pride as a member of our special Jewish nation."

"Seminars are great because you have a chance to explore the land, the State, and its society. Unlike the action-packed Tiyulim that focus on the 'big picture' of various regions in Israel, weekly seminars are specialized in areas such as Israel advocacy, Israeli-Arab conflict, Israel post-Disengagement, and Social Welfare. You have a chance to delve deeply in and become well versed in a subject on Israeli culture and Jewish life. It is a great experience to learn about Israel beyond the books."
